Show Notes

Robert Iriartborde
Scenic Audio

Since the age of fourteen, Robert Iriartborde knew he wanted to be in the audio industry, specifically in music production. Listening to recordings at an early age he wanted to learn how record and meld all of the elements together to form a mix that we all heard on the radio. The experimentation started with playing drums while recording rehearsals and local gigs throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. This passion led him to get a Broadcast Communications degree at San Francisco State University.

After graduating, Robert started to work for a live sound company named Sound on Stage and then transitioned as staff engineer at Music Annex Recording Studios. This is where he transitioned from analog to digital systems and from there has stayed current by educating himself on the latest digital trends as he transitioned to other jobs.

Robert has always considered himself fortunate to always have jobs in his industry. Even with full time employment he has always had a side company now called Scenic Audio in order to pick up extra work. After years of working in the production industry he decided at age 53 to quit a full-time job with benefits to pursue working on his own company full time.
